Bridgewater Cat Rescue Group Celebrates 1 Year Of Saving Animals
The cat rescue was started by Bridgewater local Edie Hogan, who has given her life to saving cats in Somerset County.

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Lifelong cat lover and Bridgewater resident Edie Hogan is celebrating the one-year anniversary since she started Bernie's Buddies Cat Rescue.
The celebration will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will coincide with their weekly adoption day at Barkley's Cat & Dog Supplies at 3150 Route 202 in Branchburg.
Many cats will be available including the ones pictured.

Hogan, who has given her life to rescuing cats in the Somerset County area, named the cat rescue after one of her fosters Hogan. Read More: Bridgewater Pet Lover Launches New Cat Rescue Group
She launched the new rescue group because she saw other nearby shelters were having trouble taking in all of the rescues. Hogan wanted to help in her own way to foster and adopt as many cats as she can.

Bernie's Buddies covers Bridgewater, Raritan, Somerville and Branchburg.
"Our mission is to find stable, loving homes for cats and kittens and also give new pet parents the proper tools to raise them," said Hogan. "We are an all volunteer-based non-profit comprised of foster homes, with no paid employees. We run entirely off of donations."
