Cat, 17, Saved From Storm Drain By Bridgewater And Green Knoll Crews

Angel the cat is back with her owner after an outside adventure, thanks to Bridgewater Police and the Green Knoll Fire Department.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Angel the cat is back with her owner after getting stuck in a storm drain in Bridgewater.

Police from Bridgewater and crews from the Green Knoll Fire Department helped get the 17-year-old calico out safely on Wednesday.

Jessica Ostrowski of the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter shared photos of the rescue and said she was thankful that first responders were on scene.

"I cannot thank you guys enough for everything that you do," she wrote on Facebook. "Another life saved due to amazing team work!"

The old cat may just be showing some teenage disobedience, as Ostrowski noted Angel simply ran out her owner's door.

Ostrowski said the cat was "very scared and super sweet."
