Delayed Opening For Bridgewater Commons Mall, RVCC Closed Tuesday

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Snow continues to all fast and heavy in the Somerset County area prompting delayed openings and closures.

Bridgewater Commons

The Bridgewater Commons mall will have a delayed opening on Tuesday. The mall will open at noon, according to Bridgewater Commons.

The mall said it will continue to monitor weather conditions.

Somerset County Senior Centers

Due to the storm, all Somerset County-operated Senior Wellness Centers will be closed for programs and activities on Feb. 13.

The Office on Aging & Disability Services, Office of Volunteer Services and Veterans Services located at 27 Warren St., in Somerville, will also be closed for walk-ins.

There will be no Home-Delivered Meals on Tuesday. Clients who receive Home-Delivered Meals should use the frozen snow meals delivered earlier this week. Clients who attended the program on Monday, were given backup food to use for this purpose.

If any clients do not have frozen meals or have lost power, they may also use the Heater Meals previously delivered. Follow the directions on the package for how to heat the meal without a power source. Heater Meals are not intended for use in the microwave oven.

RVCC

Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg also announced on Tuesday morning a full closure on Tuesday.

Outages

As of 9:45 a.m., JCP&L is reporting almost 800 customers without power on Tuesday with the majority in Branchburg and a few in Far Hills. Power restoration is expected by 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

PSE&G is reporting fewer than 5 customers without power in the county in Bound Brook, Hillsborough, and South Bound Brook. Power restoration is expected by 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
