Heat Advisory Issued In Somerset County: Cooling Centers
Residents can expect hot temperatures and high humidity on Wednesday in Somerset County.
SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — A heat advisory has been issued for Somerset County as hot temperatures and high humidity is expected on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service(NWS) issued a heat advisory from 11 a.m. on Wednesday through 8 p.m.
Heat index values up to 104 are expected.

The NWS warns that hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

- Drink plenty of fluids
- stay in an air-conditioned room
- stay out of the sun
- check up on relatives and neighbors
- Take extra precautions when outside
- Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing
- Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening
- Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke
