Security Alert, 2 Uninvited Vehicles Reported At Bridgewater Elementary School

The alert was sent out to elementary parents on Thursday afternoon.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A security alert was sent out to elementary parents after two uninvited vehicles were reported at Hamilton School on Thursday.

At around 12:50 p.m., Hamilton School staff identified two uninvited vehicles parked on school property, said Principal Tim Beaumont.

"Staff promptly challenged the occupants and then initiated the appropriate security protocol. Both vehicles then immediately left the property," said Beaumont.

The school returned to normal operations and police were notified.

"We are proud of our students and staff for the calm and efficient way in which they implemented our security training," said Beaumont. "Please rest assured that the safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority."

Hamilton School is located at 9 Hamilton Lane in Bridgewater.

A security alert was also issued on Tuesday when an "unexpected evacuation" was reported at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
