SOMERVILLE, NJ — Despite gray skies, the threat of rain and gusty winds, crowds turned out along Somerville’s Main Street to watch the 31st St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday.

"People were lined up four to five feet deep along the route to watch the various marching bands, organizations, first responder’s apparatus and other numerous groups. The wearing of green was also very evident," said local Thom Horvath.

The 31st annual parade kicked off on March 6 with Martin (Marty) Collins serving as the 2025 Parade Grand Marshal.

"Since 1984, the Somerville St. Patrick's Day Parade has been a hallmark of Central New Jersey events, focused on being family friendly with a variety of high quality participants," according to somervillesaintpatricksparade.com.
