Tornado Warning Issued In Somerset County
Raritan Valley Community College also closed early on Thursday.
BRANCHBURG, NJ — A Tornado Warning has been issued for Somerset County until 2:15 pm. on Thursday by the National Weather Service(NWS).
At 149 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Plainfield, moving east at 20 mph, according to the NWS.
Radar indicated rotation.

"Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely," according to NWS.
Additionally, Raritan Valley Community College(RVCC) is closing early on Thursday due to the forecast for significant rain.

RVCC will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday. All classes and activities are cancelled.
