Winter Storm To Hit Bridgewater, Police Offer Safety Tips
A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday in Bridgewater.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — As another winter storm heads to Bridgewater - with forecasters predicting 4 to 6 inches on Friday - the Bridgewater Office of Emergency Management and Township Police are offering tips to prepare.
"If you must drive, please plan for enough time to get to and/or from your destination and use extreme caution!"

Pursuant to the provisions of §§ 206-21 and 206-27.1, wherever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street or highway, no person shall park a vehicle upon either side of any of the streets or parts thereof listed below, and no person shall cause, permit, allow or suffer any vehicle owned by or driven by him to become stalled or immobile on any of the streets or parts thereof listed below because of failure of said vehicle to be equipped with snow tires or chains in good working order. Treat all downed power lines as if they are still live. Do not approach or touch any downed line. It is encouraged to charge all cell phones and have extra batteries in the event you lose power.
The Bridgewater Township Senior Center will also be closed on Friday due to inclement weather.
Snowfall is slated to begin around 4 to 7 a.m. Friday, with the steadiest drop taking place late morning through Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service(NWS).

"Almost the entire area will see accumulating snow," the National Weather Service Mount Holly station wrote, adding that most counties will see 2 to 5 inches of snowfall, although 6 inches of accumulation will be possible in eastern Pennsylvania and central and southern New Jersey.

The snowfall is expected to taper off from west to east late Friday afternoon through Friday evening, though freezing or near-freezing temperatures are expected to linger through Sunday.
Here’s the latest forecast, according to the NWS:
Thursday Night: A chance of snow, mainly after 3 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday: Snow. High near 30. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Friday Night: A chance of snow, mainly before 10 p.m. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 13. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
