18-Year-Old Edison Woman Seriously Injured After Being Struck By SUV
The woman was walking along Route 27 when she was struck, Woodbridge Police said. The crash is under investigation.
EDISON, NJ — An 18-year-old Edison woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a vehicle while walking on Route 27, Woodbridge Police said.
Around 1:48 p.m. on Monday, Woodbridge Police received multiple calls about a crash involving a pedestrian on Route 27 at Magnolia Road.
On arrival, officers found an 18-year-old Edison woman face down on the road. The car involved in the crash was a 2010 Mazda Tribute, authorities said. The driver of the car stopped and remained on the scene. No summons have been issued to date, police said.

She was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and admitted into the pediatric intensive care unit, as she is under 21, police said.
The crash is currently under investigation.
