Adult Day Care Center Seeks Expansion In Edison

Care Forever ADC is looking to expand by 3,500 square feet.

EDISON, NJ – An adult day care center in Edison is looking to expand use in the existing building.

Care Forever ADC has proposed bulk and use variances to expand within the current adult daycare use in the existing building.

The building has an existing office space which the daycare center is seeking to convert to adult daycare use. It hopes to expand by 3,500 square feet.

The property is located in the RI Zone, designated as Block# 412.01 Lot# 4.01 on the Edison Township Tax map. All noticing paperwork is in order.

During the Zoning Board meeting on Tuesday, Care Forever said they do not propose to make changes to the exterior of the building, instead are looking at changing basic interior tenant fit-out.

They are looking to make changes to the interior sheetrock wall and “interior reconfiguration, and making sure it is for the expansion of adult daycare use,” the architect said.

A year ago, Care Forever got its expansion approval from the state Department of Community Affairs, according to testimony presented on Tuesday.

The current expansion will be meeting the same criteria approved by the prior Zoning Board.
