EDISON, NJ — It was a very happy New Year for one family, who welcome the first baby born in Edison in the early hours of New Year's Day 2019.
A baby boy, Axel Garcia, was born at 2:30 a.m. at J.F.K. Medical Center, making him the first baby born in 2019 in the town. Axel weighs 7 pounds, 1 ounce.
He was born to mother Marina Chavez and father Carlos Garcia, and has three older siblings.
