The session will held at the Edgar School at 6:30 p.m.

METUCHEN, NJ — The Borough recently announced two public information sessions on Forum Theatre. The first will take place on Tuesday and the second one on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The public information sessions will held at the Edgar School at 6:30 p.m. There will be presentations and a Q&A session as well.
During his address to the community on Jan. 1, Mayor Jonathan M Busch said Metuchen’s plans for the Forum Theatre and the Metuchen Arts District will be in focus for 2025.

Metuchen’s iconic theatre is expected to “roar to life in 2027,” thanks to a cultural arts tax incentive statute legislation that borough officials directly contributed to crafting, Busch said.
“This Economic Development Authority program allows New Jersey-based companies to purchase tax credits and to direct the proceeds to support community arts projects like the forum,” the Mayor said.

“The forum will serve as an exciting, vibrant, and flexible space for concerts, plays, dance, film, comedy, lectures, and community events.”
Busch highlighted the borough’s collaboration with DEVCO, Metuchen’s designated redeveloper.
DEVCO is in the process of devising a comprehensive plan to fully fund the Forum's construction and develop a sustainable revenue stream for its ongoing operation.
At the time Busch said that the public input sessions to be held at the end of the month to ensure the project reflects the community's needs and aspirations.
“With all of the important developments in the borough, it has become increasingly clear that we must deliver information to residents in the ways where we meet them where they are,” Busch said.
