DATE CHANGE: Ring In 2019 With A Downtown Metuchen Celebration
Enjoy a ball drop at 7 p.m. and at midnight, plus plenty of other fun activities.

Original Story: Ring in 2019 with a New Year's Eve in Downtown Metuchen celebration, including two ball drops.
The plaza activities start at 5 p.m. and run until 9 p.m. They include ice-skating, a mechanical snowboard, a custom photo booth, and more. The first ball drop will be held at 7 p.m., which is midnight GMT.

Local businesses will offer specials from 9 p.m. to midnight. A second ball drop, complete with confetti, will happen at midnight.
The celebration is hosted by the Metuchen Downtown Alliance at the Metuchen Town Plaza (1 Pearl Street). You can find more information here.
