High School Sock Hop with Award-Winning Author Postponed
Best-selling author Mitch Albom would have played in a band with friends he grew up with in South Jersey.
The Haddofield Memorial High School sock hop scheduled for Saturday, featuring a band with award-winning author Mitch Albom, has been postponed.
An organizer of the event did not immediately return a call for comment on Thursday.
The 1950s-style dance in the school gym was planned as a benefit to raise money to refurbish the high school auditorium, according to a news release from the group.
