Anti-Bullying Week Of Respect Kicks Off In Jersey City

There will be a special flag-raising ceremony as part of the Week Of Respect at City Hall Tuesday. We want to hear your story too.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The public school district is taking a stand against bullying and cyberbullying and encouraging kindness during the annual Week of Respect.

The district-wide initiative began Monday at every school. October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a nationwide initiative designed to bring attention to the ongoing problem of bullying in all forms, including in Jersey City.

The flag will be raised at City Hall at a special ceremony Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. The city, Mayor Steven Fulop, Municipal Council, Office of Cultural Affairs, and public school district are co-sponsoring the event.
