Artichoke Basille's Pizza Coming To Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City's pedestrian plaza is gaining one more new restaurant, and this one is a New York City based franchise.

Artichoke Basille's Pizza is planning to open at 246 Bay Street in Jersey City. There's no hard opening date yet, but the location and "opening soon" message are on the restaurant's website. Artichoke Basille's recently opened a location in Hoboken and is planning a location in Red Hook, NJ as well.

The restaurant has its roots in NYC's East Village and was created by two cousins in 2008. Famed for its Artichoke pie and authentic New York City slice, the restaurant has been featured on late night shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Rachael Ray Show and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Signage recently went up on the Bay Street storefront and the restaurant is starting its hiring process.
