JERSEY CITY, NJ — Happy Monday, Jersey City! There are plenty of events happening around the city this week, so Patch rounded up a list of the important dates to remember, so you don't miss the fun!

Jersey City is starting off August with more outdoor movies and concerts.

Here's a few dates to keep an eye on:

Monday

Deadline for Submission of Proposed Amendments to the State Constitution to be Voted Upon

at the General Election (not less than 3 months prior to submission to the voters) NJ Constitution, Article IX, par. 3

Deadline for Determination of Petition Challenge for School & Fire District Election Candidates for General Election (10 days after the last day for filing nomination petitions) N.J.S.A. 19:60-7

Saturday

Deadline for Filing in Superior Court to Protect School & Fire District Election Candidate’s Rights (12 days after petition filing deadline) N.J.S.A. 19:60-7

Sunday

Deadline for Secretary of State to Submit to the County Clerks the Statement of All Duly Nominated Candidates for General Election (not later than 86 days before election) N.J.S.A. 19:13-22

Monday

Movies in the Park

This week's movies in the park will be screened at Hamilton Park and showing "Wallace and Grommit — Curse of the Were Rabbit."

Thursday

Groove on Grove

Groove on Grove is our free summer weekly music series featuring a wide variety of musicians, and performers! This is a family friendly event that brings our community together to celebrate Jersey City and its diversity.

Berry Lane Concerts

Concerts at Berry Lane Park are back for the summer. From July through August, concerts will be held every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. with a different artist being showcased each week.

This Thursday, Gordon James will perform.
