Hope You Cherished These Sunny Days In Jersey City Because Rain And Storms Are On The Way
The chance of showers and storms is predicted for Wednesday night through Friday night.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City residents got to enjoy a few dry days of sunshine, albeit a few nights of lightening, but storms are back. The National Weather Service is forecasting showers and storms for Wednesday night through Friday night.
Weeks after the devastating floods brought by Tropical Storm Ida, Jersey City residents and organizations are still taking inventory of the damage the floodwaters left behind. Jersey City saw 6.5 inches of rain during Ida and preliminary damage estimates in the city are totaling $35 million.

Tonight
A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11pm and 3am, then a chance of showers after 3am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind 5 to 13 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday
A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Northeast wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

Thursday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Friday
A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Friday Night
A 40 percent chance of showers before 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.
The city is keeping residents in the loop over Twitter, tweeting the latest forecast updates and encouraging residents to sign up for Alert JC, the text message alert system that tells residents when weather, traffic or other related issues arise in the city.
Jersey City has 14 "repeat flooding" intersections throughout the city, identified by the Jersey City's Municipal Utilities Authority. During heavy rains and flooding, drivers and residents should use extra caution and avoid the intersections when possible.
