JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Jersey City Fire Department was gifted 35 mattresses from Bob's Discount Furniture store.

The donation honors the fire department that was one of the first New Jersey departments to respond on 9/11. The mattresses will be distributed amongst several Jersey City firehouses based on need.

On hand to assist with the donation was Giants Legend Rich Seubert, who also took time to meet with firefighters and sign autographs. Seubert was a member of the 2001 Giants team that took part in the team’s community outreach following the 9/11 tragedy.
