Jersey City Library To Participate In Free Comic Book Day
Free Comic Book Day was canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now it's back – just in time for its 20th anniversary.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — After being canceled last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Free Comic Book Day is back for 2021. And the Jersey City Free Public Library plans to join the festivities.
Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, August 14 this year. It's usually on the first Saturday in May, this year's Free Comic Book Day marks the 20th anniversary of the now-ubiquitous event, which strives to raise awareness about the medium and bring new fans into the fold.
Jersey City library branches will be celebrating the event on both Saturday and Monday.

Locations for free comic books on August 14, at 9:30 a.m. are as follows:
- Bonetti Children’s Room at Priscilla Gardner Main Library; 472 Jersey Avenue
- Pavonia; 326 8th Street
- Five Corners; 678 Newark Avenue
- Miller Branches; 489 Bergen Avenue
