Jersey City Overnight Fire Displaces 24 Residents

A two-alarm fire was reported in a five-story building, forcing 24 people to relocate.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A two-alarm fire on Lembeck Avenue Monday night has displaced 24 people in Jersey City.

The fire was called in at 11:30 p.m. for a five-story apartment building at 108 Lembeck Ave. The fire was deemed two -alarms and affected 24 residents and seven apartments, according to city officials.

One child was treated on scene and a firefighter was treated for a leg injury on scene as well. The Red Cross arrived to assist the displaced residents.
