Jersey City's Brightside Tavern To Host Short Film Festival

Student and other short filmmakers have the opportunity to show their work and win awards in the festival.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City film lovers and filmmakers are gearing up for a local festival weekend packed with local creators.

The Brightside Tavern Film Festival starts on Saturday at 11 a.m.and runs into Sunday at 7 p.m. The festival will be held online at the tavern, located at 141 Bright St. Tickets are $12 and available online. Student films and awards are on July 31st and all other films will be August 1.

The film lineup includes The Immortals by Ryan Keating, Danny Dollase, Zoe Tweedie as well as A Special Dinner by Haley Pine, Brendan Egan and We’re Good by Larry Rosen.

Awards will be given at 5 p.m. on Saturday and at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
