JERSEY CITY, NJ — There's a new café on the block in Journal Square, and it offers more than just coffee.
Belle Ame Café officially opened last week at 76 Cottage Street in Journal Square. Launching in February 2020, the café has been in the works for over a year. In the first Instagram post on the cafe's website, the owner writes that they decided to make the switch from 15 years in a corporate job in finance to the small business world to follow a passion for coffee.
"Belle Âme means beautiful soul in French, it’s a phrase that really connected with me," the post reads.
