Water Main Break Closes Manhattan Avenue In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A water main break has temporarily closed Manhattan Avenue in Jersey City.

Manhattan Avenue is closed between JFK Boulevard and Tonnelle Avenue. Estimated restoration time is 9 p.m. Manhattan Avenue and Liberty Avenue are affected.

Suez offered the following recommendations:

-Filling containers with water to use while your service is shut off.

- Be sure your faucets are not running. This will help prevent possible water damage.

- Check your plumbing fixtures and your water meter to make sure that there is no leakage after service is restored.
