Youth Rally Planned Outside Menendez's Office To Support Climate

The Sunshine Movement, a youth-led movement, has a rally planned for Saturday.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A rally is planned for Saturday in front of Senator Bob Menendez's Jersey City office.

The rally will ask that Menendez co-sponsor the Civilian Climate Corps for Jobs and Justice Act, a piece of legislation that would create 1.5 million good, green jobs transitioning our society to renewable energy.

"We are facing the intersecting crises of climate change and economic inequality, and we have a huge opportunity to give people the jobs they need fixing a climate that so desperately needs to be fixed," the Sunrise Movement said in a statement.
