Comedian, podcast host, and voice-over artist Alonzo Bodden will headline Bananas Comedy Club in Rutherford, New Jersey on Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23rd.

The star of Amazon Prime Video's comedy special Heavy Lightweight, Alonzo is a regular panelist on NPR's popular radio quiz program Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me. Over the past year, he has also appeared on MSNBC's Ayman Mohyeldin Reports and The Week with Joshua Johnson providing commentary on a range of topics, from politics and pop culture, to sports and current events.

During the summer of 2021, he hosted his own radio show on KBLA Talk 1580 in which he was able to bring his love of jazz to the airwaves through conversations with a few of his favorite musicians: Sheila E., Jonathan Butler, and Marcus Miller.

His television credits include his Showtime comedy special Historically Incorrect, CNBC's Leno's Garage, NBC's Last Comic Standing (Season 3 winner), Dr. Phil, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the ABC series Dr. Ken and Fresh Off the Boat, just to name a few. He has also voiced the character of Thunderon in the Power Rangers movie as well as lent his voice to the video game Halo Wars 2.

Currently, Alonzo can be heard on his weekly podcast "Who's Paying Attention?" where he gives his unique take on what's going on in the world.
