AMC's 'The Walking Dead' Spinoff Series Filmed In Bergen County
Series star Andrew Lincoln, who plays beloved character Rick Grimes from "The Walking Dead" Universe, was spotted in North Jersey.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A spinoff of AMC's The Walking Dead was shot — at least in part — in Bergen County.
Beginning on Feb. 13, the six-episode series, titled "Summit", was shot partly in Carlstadt and in Atlanta, Georgia, said the the Film and Television Industry Alliance — which tracks projects shooting in principal markets throughout the U.S.
Also hosting shoots is the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, according to the New Jersey Motion Picture and Television Commission. Other filming locations are throughout North Jersey, NJ.com reported.

In fact, the series star Andrew Lincoln was spotted by a fan recently in Ringwood, the fan confirmed to Patch via Twitter.
Set to debut on AMC and AMC+ next year, the series will star Lincoln and Danai Gurira as fan-favorite characters Rick Grimes and Michonne.

"It's truly an exciting year for 'The Walking Dead' Universe," president of entertainment and AMC studios at AMC Networks Dan McDermott said in a news release. "This next phase of our beloved franchise promises to engage and enthrall faithful viewers."
Reuniting Lincoln and Gurira, the series, AMC said, presents an "epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world."
"Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living," the network said.
"Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?"
Scott M. Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead Universe, serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Lincoln and Gurira.
"'The Walking Dead' Universe lives!" Gimple said in the release. "Rick and Michonne, in a romantic saga of the dangerous road to each other, and the road they must find with each other, cornered by a new civilization and hordes of the dead..."
