Elevated Fire Risk Tuesday In Bergen County, Experts Say
"...conditions may allow for elevated fire spread this afternoon if ignition occurs," the National Weather Service warned.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Experts warned of an elevated fire risk in a special weather statement.
In the advisory, the National Weather Service said an increased potential for fire spread is possible Tuesday with dry conditions and gusty winds.
Issued at about 4 a.m., the statement said that relative humidity values below 30% and wind gusts upward of 25 mph are expected.

"Despite the recent green-up, these conditions may allow for elevated fire spread this afternoon if ignition occurs," the NWS added.
The fire advisory covers Bergen, Passaic, Essex, and Union Counties.
