Man Found Dead In Lowe’s Parking Lot In East Rutherford

An autopsy is underway to determine the man's cause of death, officials said.

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — A man was found dead this week in a Lowe’s parking lot in East Rutherford, according to police.

On Wednesday, just after 3 p.m., police responded to a report that an unresponsive man was in his parked semi-truck outside of the Lowe’s on Route 17.

First responders confirmed that the 52-year-old Carlstadt man was dead, and the county medical examiner took his body, police said.

According to East Rutherford Detective Captain Jeff Yannacone, while an autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death, “no foul play is suspected.”

The 52-year-old’s identity has not been released yet, as officials continue to notify his family.
