No School For Paramus Public Students On Election Day: Superintendent
"Last week's tragedy in Uvalde has significantly impacted the sense of well-being for members of school communities across the nation."
PARAMUS, NJ — There will be no school for Paramus Public students on Election Day next Tuesday, the superintendent said.
Sean Adams, in a message to the community, said the closure was meant "to ensure the physical and mental well-being of staff, students, and families" after the mass shooting at a Texas elementary school on May 24.
Six out of eight Paramus Public School buildings are polling places. Adams said that schools "have multiple layers of protection and support related to the physical and mental safety of our students and staff."
