PARAMUS, NJ — A Paramus shopping mall is working to bring the outdoors in, just in time for spring, a spokesperson said.

Westfield Garden State Plaza is activating a glass greenhouse covered with floral arrangements and a lawn area in an effort to transform the previous restaurant courtyard with a botanical theme.

In a partnership with Fair Lawn event planner KraftyLab, Westfield Garden State Plaza is debuting the "Garden Social" space with interactive experiences for guests to "explore new interests and further pursue existing hobbies," Wesley Rebisz, a senior general manager with the mall, said.

“(Garden Social) expands the possibilities for social engagement with a host of immersive Do-It-Yourself class offerings," Rebisz said.

Guests will be able to take a wide range of classes, including terrarium making, chocolate truffle making, floral arrangements, candle making, soap making, sustainability, and yoga on the lawn.
