From a 5K run to a bar crawl and parades on Sunday across the area, there are a lot of festive and fun events to celebrate.

Run o' the Mill 5K: Clinton Community Center, Clinton

Founded by hometown Olympian Julie Culley, the race is to provide a forum to continue to foster the rich legacy of distance running and philanthropy in Hunterdon County.

The Brightside Film Festival: The Brightside Tavern, Jersey City

Filmmakers Chris J. Cullen and Chris Capaci have come together to create this event, which celebrates the short film in many different categories on two screens with a fun award show at the end of the night.

Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade: Washington Avenue Pediatrics, Bergenfield

Celebrate Irish culture and pride at the 41st annual Bergen County St. Patrick's Day Parade featuring bagpipers, marching bands, local organizations and more.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. at South Washington Avenue and East Englewood Avenue.

Hunterdon County Eighth Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade: Main Street, Clinton

This annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and has more than 40 marching units, including five pipe and drum bands and featuring the New Jersey State Police Pipes and Drums of the Blue and Gold.

The parade kicks off at 3 p.m.

The American Irish Association of Woodbridge presents the 49th annual Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The parade starts at 1:30 p.m. at Woodbridge High School and marches down Main Street.
