Red Flag Warning Issued For Bergen Co.
"Strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels will create elevated fire growth potential," the National Weather Service said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A red flag warning is in effect for Bergen County, according to the National Weather Service.
From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, critical fire weather conditions are expected or occurring, the NWS reported.
The fire weather message was issued for gusty winds and low relative humidity in New Jersey.

"A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels will create a significantly elevated fire growth potential," the NWS said.
Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread this afternoon in Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex and Union Counties, the NWS said.

Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph are expected. Temperatures will be in the mid-60s, with relative humidity as low as 20 to 30%.
