Remaining Parsippany Outages Will Have To Wait Another Night

The estimated restoration time for the township's remaining power outages was pushed back to Tuesday afternoon

PARSIPPANY, NJ—After receiving an estimated time of service restoration of 11:30 p.m. Monday, the 10 remaining Parsippany customers will have to wait another night in the dark, as Jersey Central Power & Light has pushed that estimate back to tomorrow afternoon.

"Crews are addressing many localized issues and restoring individual customers," said a statement released by the utility. "This requires crews to travel to individual locations to restore about 2,800 JCP&L customers [statewide] who remain without power. This is the most time-consuming, labor intensive and complex part of service restoration."

Early Tuesday morning, Parsippany's 10 outages contributed to the 55 county-wide. The new estimated time for service to be restored to those customers is Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
