PARSIPPANY, NJ—There were still 58 customers without power in Parsippany on Monday afternoon, as the self-imposed deadline for Jersey Central Power & Light to restore service approached.

"Utility crews are addressing many localized issues and restoring individual customers," a statement from the company said. " This requires crews to travel to individual locations to restore about 2,800 JCP&L customers [statewide] who remain without power. This is the most time-consuming, labor intensive and complex part of service restoration."

The utility has estimated restoration times of Monday at 10:00 p.m. or 11:30 p.m. for all of Morris County's 739 outages.
