2 Cars Stolen In Summit Overnight, Third Theft Of 2022
Two unlocked cars were stolen from Summit driveways Monday night, according to police.

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit Police reported two car thefts that occurred in Summit overnight Monday.
Two vehicles were stolen from Summit driveways on Colony Drive and Templar Way. Both were unlocked with the key fob inside.
Since the beginning of Jan. 2022, there have been two attempts and three stolen motor vehicles in Summit, according to Chief Communications Officer Amy Cairns.

All cars that were stolen were unlocked with key fobs inside. Cairns said that in the past five years, 98% of all vehicles stolen in Summit had the key fobs inside and were unlocked.
Just two weeks ago, Summit Police arrested three people in connection with a car theft on Blackburn Road.
