SUMMIT, NJ — An attempted car theft occurred on Canoe Brook Parkway Friday morning, according to an alert from Summit Police at around 10 a.m.Police said the suspects were driving a black BMW X 5 with black rims and a magnet on the rear of the car. The suspect car was last seen heading toward Iris Road, police said. Residents are advised to call 911 immediately if seen. Police said to always lock vehicles and remove key fobs when parked.
