District 7 Rep. Tom Malinowski Tests Positive For COVID

The Congressman tweeted Thursday afternoon that he tested positive for the coronavirus but is feeling fine.

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Democrat Congressman Tom Malinowksi announced to his Twitter followers on Thursday that he tested positive for COVID-19, but assured he is feeling fine.

Malinowski, who represents New Jersey's 7th Congressional District, said that he is only experiencing mild symptoms, thanks to the vaccine and booster shot he received.

In the Tweet, he advised his followers to get the booster shot if they have not already.

Data from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center showed Wednesday that there were 398,914 new cases in the country. New deaths have been on an upward trend amidst the current surge of the omicron variant, and the University's data showed 3,622 new deaths in the past day.
