Naked Psychiatric Patient Escapes Hospital, Found In Summit

The man seen in Summit was found by police and is currently receiving medical treatment.

SUMMIT, NJ — A naked man who escaped from a psychiatric hospital was seen in Summit on Friday afternoon.

The Summit Police Department sent out a Nixle alert at 3:12 p.m. that a man who is an escaped psychiatric patient was seen on Woodland Avenue near Deforest Avenue. About 30 minutes later, Police sent out another alert that the patient was found and is receiving medical treatment.

Police said he may have been heading toward Summit Avenue.
