Summit Middle School's 'The Hobbit' Nominated for Best Performance by Montclair State
Montclair State University's annual Theatre Night Awards has nominated Summit Middle School's 'The Hobbit' in best performance by a Middle School.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School Theater Department's fall production (The Hobbit) has been nominated in the category of "Best Overall Performance by a Middle School" by Montclair State University's annual Theater Night Awards.
Over 50 middle and high schools from throughout New Jersey participate and the middle school's productions have consistently been nominated and won in this category each year. For the past three years we have won the award for The Yellow Boat, Comedy Tonight, and Exhibit This, and now, are nominated forThe Hobbit.
Final results will be announced at the awards ceremony this Friday night, where Mr. Ron Wells has been asked to help host the occasion. Congratulations to Mr. Wells and the LCJSMS theater arts department for this recognition.
