After some recent resignations and staff reorganization this year, the force is looking to hire another officer. And according to the job announcement, the department is looking for someone to speak the language of one of Summit's largest minority populations, Hispanics. You can take a look at the city's application on the PDF attached to this article.  Here are some details from the city police officer job announcement: <blockquote> Requirements: U.S. Citizen, 18 yrs old, 60 college credits, PTC or Alternate Route Certification, pass background check, psychological screening, medical exam &amp; drug screen.
