Summit PD Opens Its Doors for Open House

Police Chief Weck and department police will be on hand, along with the Union County SWAT team, for an open house with Summit residents.

Today, from 2p.m. to 4 p.m. Summit residents will get a first hand look at the inside of the Summit Police station during it's first open house event. Police Chief Robert Weck and key members of the department will be on hand to talk with residents and give a tour of the police headquarters.

Since taking the helm as Summit's top cop late last year Weck has made it one of his priorities to engage the public on multiple levels. He's even invited county police teams to meet and greet residents, including the Union County Emergency Response Team and Union County’s SWAT team.

The Summit PAL will be providing the refreshments and souvenirs will be available for the kids.
