2 Found Dead In Fort Lee Home Were Related: Bergen County Prosecutor

The 2 people were found dead Wednesday at a home in Bergen County were related, the prosecutor's office said.

FORT LEE, NJ — The two people who were found dead in a home in Fort Lee last week were related, prosecutors said this weekend.

Just after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the Fort Lee Police Department was called to a house on 14th Street to do a wellness check, officials said.

Police found two people were unresponsive and ultimately pronounced them dead.

This weekend, Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer said that the pair were a woman, 86, and her brother, 84.

He did not release the names.

"Thus far, the deaths do not appear to be suspicious in nature," he said.

The joint investigation between the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Fort Lee Police Department is continuing, he said.
