WESTFIELD, NJ — A local frozen yogurt shop, that is known in Westfield for helping people in desperate situations, is now raising money for a family very near and dear to the Westfield and Garwood communities.

Bohemian Raspberry, or BoRaz as many call it, is hosting a 'Sundae Sunday Fundraiser' for Barbara Tweedle — a Westfield High School alumni and Garwood community volunteer who was recently diagnosed with stage four liver cancer.

The fundraiser will take place on Sunday, March 20, from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at BoRaz. All profits will be donated to the Tweedle family. Customers are encouraged to mention the fundraiser when ordering frozen yogurt.

BoRaz, owned by Barry Goldenberg, has helped local Westfield residents in the past, as the store served as a way-station during Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Goldenberg allowed stranded residents who had lose heat and electricity to camp out in his store during the storm.

Goldenberg recently reopened the froyo shop after only offering curbside pickup during the pandemic. The store struggled immensely during the pandemic and was at risk of shutting down.
