Hillsdale, Washington Twp. Mentors Honored

SCOREBergen, the Hackensack-based chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America's Small Business, recently honored 19 members for their many years of service to the organization. These business professionals volunteer their time to mentor both new and experienced small business owners in the Bergen County area.

Among the honored members were Hillsdale resident John Sanchez and Washington Township resident David Varoli, who each have volunteered with the group for five years.

SCOREBergen mentors are active, semi-retired, or retired executives who held top-tier positions at major companies or owned and operated their own businesses. Mentors have experience in a variety of different fields including finance, construction, education, and human relations. SCOREBergen counselors advise small owners on navigating such issues as setting up a business plan, minimizing debt, building clientele, and franchising.
