Historic District, Sign Law, 9/11 Anniversary This Week

Westwood Avenue could become a historic district if a proposal from the borough's historic commission is approved.

Washington Town Center Signs
More variety could be coming to the signs in the Washington Town Center.
The Washington Township Council is scheduled to vote on an ordinance during their meeting this week which would in the strip mall.
The proposed changes include removing restrictions that all signs must use the same color and font, and business owners will be able to expand to fill a 12.5-foot by 4-foot area. Logos would also be allowed.
Business owners in the mall will still need permission from the township and the mall's owner before they can make changes.

9/11 Anniversary
Washington Township will hold a memorial service for the anniversary of 9/11 terrorist attacks Tuesday.
The event will take place after 8:30 a.m. in front of the Municipal Complex. Guests attending the event can assemble in the township's senior center.
