Police Arrest Man With Fake Prescription, Driver's License

The man allegedly bought oxycodone with a fraudulent prescription at Rite Aid in Washington Township.

Washington Township Police arrested 22-year-old Dover Resident Omar Nieves Friday after a pharmacist tipped them off that he had purchased oxycodone with a fake prescription, according to a police press release.

Nieves allegedly bought the pills at the in with the fake prescription at about 4 p.m. Friday. A pharmicist reported the incident to police, who arrived to arrest Nieves as he was about to leave the store.

Nieves also showed a fake driver's license to the officers, police said.

Police charged Nieves with obtaining controlled dangerous substance by fraud and exhibiting fraudulent drivers license to law enforcement, both third degree crimes. He also faces a pending charge of forgery. Bail was set at $10,000.
