Share Pet Photos to Help Westwood Charity

Heartsmith, a Haworth-based company which makes lockets, is holding a "coolest dog" contest and donating $1 for each entry to the charity Peace4Paws.

The winner will receive a $100 gift certificate. Also, Heartsmith will donate $1 to the Westwood-based Peace4Paws for each entry.

To enter, visit this Facebook page and upload a photo of your dog beating the summer heat. Friday is the deadline to enter. Voting will be open until Sept. 20.

Peace4Paws is a local charity which . Money raised by the group has supported some nearby efforts, including the Mylestone Equine Rescue in Phillipsburg, N.J. and the Hudson Valley Humane Society in Pomona, N.Y. They also donate a lot to the Kindness Ranch in Wyoming, which has 1,000 acres for a wide variety of animals.
