YJCC Celebrating 25th Anniversary
The Bergen County YJCC has been in Washington Township since 1987.

The will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Washington Township with a party at the YJCC Thursday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m. The event features desserts and Champagne to celebrate the occasion.
The event will not only acknowledge this milestone anniversary but will also provide an opportunity for the YJCC community to view the new playground at its David Rukin Early Childhood Center Nursery School. The custom playground is developmentally appropriate to encourage exploration, build cognitive, motor and social skills, promote coordination and balance. It is scheduled to be completed before school resumes.

The YJCC’s history goes back to its founding in Hackensack in 1916. In 1987, a group of dedicated, committed and forward-looking individuals pledged to fulfill the dream of building a Jewish community center in the Pascack Valley. They gave their expertise, resources, talents and time to see to it that the YJCC achieves its mission to develop, enrich and strengthen families, Jewish identity and Jewish community. Optimistic about its future, the organization has chosen “celebrating silver… going for the gold” as the motto for this anniversary. Beyond being a bow to Olympic fever, the motto proclaims the YJCC’s aim to attain excellence as it goes forward into its next 25 years.
The Bergen County YJCC is at 605 Pascack Road, Washington Township. For more information about the anniversary celebration, contact Bonnie Singer at (201) 666-6610, ext. 5830.
