YJCC Offering Art Classes
The Bergen County YJCC is offering a variety of art classes for adults this fall.

Try something new or reintroduce a former passion by taking ceramics, watercolor or painting classes at the .
Ceramics students of all levels may choose classes on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., September 10 through November 12, or Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 7:15 to 9:45 p.m., September 12 through November 14.
Of particular note is the YJCC’s Ceramics Studio. The facility includes six electric potter’s wheels, two extruders, a slab roller and two electric kilns. Classes are personalized with individual instruction.
Expressive Watercolor offers a combination of instruction, inspiration and insight, with easy-to-follow demonstrations, practical and sensitive guidance, tips and advice. The class is on Mondays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., from September 10 through November 12.
Explorations in Water Media combines watercolor, ink and water soluble drawing materials to expand artistic boundaries. The class is on Mondays, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., from September 10 through November 12.
The Art of Acrylic Painting enables students to discover the freedom, simplicity and ease of painting with this modern, permanent, non-toxic and versatile medium. This class meets on Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., from September 13 through November 15.
Drawing with Colored Pencil explores fresh and innovative ways to use this highly portable medium. This class meets on Wednesdays, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., October 3 through 31.
All art classes are appropriate for beginners through more advanced students, ages 17 and up, and are open to the general community. Participants may join the class at any time; fees depend on number of class meetings. The Bergen County YJCC is at 605 Pascack Road, Washington Township.
